BHT is marking Mental Health Awareness Week, which starts today, with a variety of events and activities across its services including talks, walks and live bands!
Today in Threshold’s regular Monday Wellbeing drop-in group they will be discussing this year’s theme of ‘Body Image’, thinking about how women can have a more positive relationship with their bodies. BHT’s Threshold provides women-only services include counselling, maternal mental health support, therapeutic drop in activities, yoga, wellbeing groups and childcare facilities.
The Archway service provides accommodation and intensive support to people with complex mental health needs. This year for Mental Health Awareness Week they are planning a series of activities for clients and staff for each day of the week, which relate to the Five Ways to Wellbeing, namely:
- Connect
- Be active
- Take notice
- Keep learning
- Give
Activities will include live music, guest speakers, film screenings, sessions on topics such as how to tell your story and healthy eating and mental health, walks and even adventure golf!
