BHT has launched a weekly podcast that covers social and public policy and the work of BHT and other charities.
BHT chief executive, Andy Winter, said: “It really isn’t as dull as it sounds. Our first podcast was very amusing, yet touched on serious points such as the cost of housing, the Right to Buy and BHT’s recent Cycle Challenge, and the closure of the County Court in Eastbourne. It also had a lot of humour, some good, some terrible!”
The first podcast welcomed guests Jess Sumner from Brighton and Hove Community Works and Geoffrey Bowden, a local journalist and broadcaster.
Called BHT Bites, the podcast is presented by BHT’s Jo Berry and Andy Winter.
Jo Berry, Head of Fundraising, Marketing and PR, said: “We were very pleased with our first outing. It could not have gone better, other than when Andy forgot his lines! The success of BHT Bites is down to the guests we invite on each week. We could not have done better than our first two guests, Jess Sumner and Geoffrey Bowden, nor with the two appearing this week, Fabia Bates from the Survivors’ Network and Sharon Munnings from BHT.
“This week’s programme, available from Thursday, will have a focus on wellbeing in the workplace. Fabia will be talking about the launch of the Survivors’ Network #OverToYou Kitemark which aims to help address sexual harassment in the workplace”.
