Arts Council England funding secured for client art exhibition

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded funds by Arts Council England to exhibit client artwork in Jubilee Library next June. The exhibition is called ‘BHT Sussex in Focus’ and will be a multi-discipline exhibit with both art and written word on display.

Arts Council England, funded by the National Lottery, fund programmes relating to arts, libraries and museums. We are grateful to have been chosen to be a recipient of funds which will go towards art supplies for our clients to create works for the exhibition.

The aim of the project is to encourage clients across many of our projects to express themselves artistically in a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, collage, poetry and journal writing, for example. Exhibiting their artworks in public view in Jubilee Library will further boost their confidence.

As well as the exhibition, we will also be putting together an anthology book of artwork featured in the exhibition, as well as other pieces created by our clients. This book will be available to purchase at Jubilee Library throughout the exhibition.

If you would like to support the exhibition, we need donations of art supplies for clients to use. Please get in touch if you have any materials that you could donate: comms@bht.org.uk.

The exhibition will run for a week from Monday 2nd June at Jubilee Library in Brighton. Follow us on social media to hear about the launch event: Facebook, X, Instagram.
