Following a recent assessment, BHT has been awarded an accreditation as a Disability Confident employer. Disability Confident is a scheme designed to help employers recruit and retain disabled people and people with health conditions, for their skills and talent.
Our next steps will be reviewing and developing our action plan to become a leader.
Over the last year we have been working with our internal teams in health and safety, training and human resources, and externally with our local department of work and pension office to develop our standards to ensure all people with disabilities and long-term health conditions are able to fulfill their potential at work.  This together with our commitment to being a Time to Change employer supports our own people practices and approaches to ensure that our workplace is as open, diverse, accessible and inclusive as possible.
