We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to play a vital role in providing support at our Shore House project.

About the role:
As an Administrator at Shore House, you will be working for a people-led organisation whose mission is ‘combating homelessness, creating opportunities, promoting change.’
Shore House provides support to twenty residents with enduring and complex mental health support needs. It provides intensive and high levels of support, tailored to individual need, working with, and managing varying levels of risk. Shore House works proactively with residents to build skills and confidence and support them in their recovery journey and move-on to more independent living opportunities. Shore House is aimed at those with enduring and complex mental health needs, including those with dual needs, such as mental health with alcohol and/or substance misuse.
The administrator has a pivotal role in the service, ensuring the smooth running of the office and office systems. The post holder will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks and will assist the project in its rent collection and rent accounting duties. The post holder will have both telephone and face to face contact with residents, BHT staff and other professionals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- As required responding to incoming queries via telephone and email, triaging where appropriate.
- Maintaining all office equipment and supplies.
- Managing data storage points across the project, collecting data for reports including those on staffing and void levels, and throughput and output of the service.
- Operating Shore House’s rent accounting systems, including inputting of financial data, monitoring payments, voids, and arrears.
About you:
To be successful in the role of Administrator you will need to have great communication skills and be committed to the values of the organisation. Some of the key skills and experience you will need to bring with you include:
- Reception experience, including using and developing office systems and procedures.
- Experience of keeping and monitoring financial records.
- Computer literate with a high working knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Outlook, Excel and Access.
- Good working knowledge of the Housing Benefit system and Rent Collection procedures.
- Ability to organise own workloads and work independently and pro-actively.
- Ability to administratively support a team.
- Empathy with people with mental health & complex support needs and the ability to deal sensitively with clients in distress.
