We are sorry to share the news that our Christmas street collections, planned for this Saturday 18 December, have had to be cancelled due to concerns about Covid-19.
BHT Sussex organises Christmas street collections every year, and they are a fantastic and fun way of both raising money and spreading awareness of our many services to the local community. We have wonderful volunteers who give up their time to shake buckets and talk to people, and choirs perform alongside our collectors to add to the Christmas cheer!
In what has already been an exceptionally tough year for community fundraising, we are very disappointed to have to cancel these collections. We rely on the money raised – up to £7000 each year – to keep our vital services going, and will need to raise more from our online appeal to make up the shortfall. Please consider supporting us with a donation, any amount is appreciated and will make a huge difference to the lives of homeless people facing another difficult winter.
